Traditional Funeral
At Kelly’s we work closely with many churches and religious organisations across Inishowen and beyond.
We liaise with all clergy and organisations of all denominations on your behalf to arrange traditional funeral masses and services.
From setting up a wake, straight through to organising and preparing a final resting place for your loved one, we take care of everything from start to finish.
We concentrate on the detail, so you don’t have to.
Cremation
Working together with all our nearest crematoriums, together in accordance with your wishes we can arrange everything needed around a cremation.
This can include a religious ceremony, followed by cremation, or a non-religious or humanist ceremony at the crematorium.
Our intimate funeral home in Carndonagh is available for non-religious ceremonies, where a celebrant can be provided.
Loved ones have the option of paying their final respects here before cremation, or alternatively, family and friends are welcome to escort a loved one on their final journey to the crematorium.
Eco-Friendly Funerals
We stock a range of Eco-Friendly and wicker coffins, all of which are manufactured here in Donegal to reduce our carbon footprint.

Pre-Planned Funerals

At Kelly’s Funeral Directors we understand the importance of having your arrangements in place, so that when your time comes, the bereavement process can be a little easier for your loved ones.
We offer a complete arrangement package. Blaine is on-hand to visit your home, or alternatively you can arrange a meeting at our funeral home in Carndonagh to discuss your options.
A comprehensive arrangement can be put in place. An estimate of the funeral cost as well as the option of pre-payment so that you can rest assured the financial burden will not fall to your family or loved ones.
We are affiliated with My Farewell Wishes, an independent, registered provider of funeral plans. Your wishes are stored securely, so that you can have piece of mind that when the time comes, your wishes will be carried out to the highest standards.
Standard Funeral Services
At the time of the passing of a loved one, our aim is to take as much of the burden off you as possible, so you can take the time to focus on yourself, and the mourning of a loved one. After sitting down to arrange a funeral, we will take care of all the details, making sure your loved one gets the personal send-off they deserve.
Obituary Publishing
We will aim to upload a death notice as soon as practically possible, or when it is most suitable for you.
This can include online forums such as RIP.ie, Condolence.ie, the Kelly’s Funeral Directors website, and on social media such as the Kelly’s Funeral Directors Facebook page.
We can also post the obituary on local radio and in local newspapers if desired.
Funeral and Wake Flowers & Floral Tributes
Working closely with local florists we can arrange all the flowers you will need for a funeral and for a wake house.
We are on hand to advise what is best for the funeral of a loved one, or we can put you directly in contact with a florist to speak directly and arrange personal flowers.
We personally collect the flowers for the funeral, so you don’t have to.
Funeral Music
Music can play a very important part in a funeral of a loved one. For some, a particular song can summarise a person’s life.
In some religious settings, music can be restricted to religious hymns only, however we are on hand to advise every family of what is appropriate for their individual funeral.
We liaise with many local singers and musicians who we can arrange directly with. We also supply graveside amplification systems, should a family wish to play a special song after the burial.
Wake Services
The thought of undertaking the wake of a loved-one, preparing your home for the public to pay their respects – can seem daunting and sometimes overwhelming.
At Kelly’s we supply all the equipment you need to ensure things run smoothly.

- Traffic management & signage – wake signs, one way system operations & shuttle bus services
